Playing photos
Previous  Next

To play your photos, your need to run PP either by clicking phoplay.exe or a shortcut to this file. When run for the first time, PP starts from your "My Pictures" folder if available. It automatically seaches photo files in this folder and all its subfolders. If you want to play photos in another folder, use the folder tree on the left to navigate into that folder. This interface is an exact simulation of the left side window in Microsoft Windows Explorer. You should get used to this quickly because this is the fastest way of navigating your computers.

Although the default setting is enough for most people, PP gives you more easily accessed options than any other slideshow viewers.

·Recursive play allows you play your photos not only in the current folder but in all its subfolders as well. Default is ON. Short cut is S.
·Loop play allows you to play your photos endlessly. Default is OFF. The shortcut is L.
·Random play allows you to play your photos in random order. Default is OFF. The shortcut is R.
·Display mode allows you to setup how PP displays your photos. Four options are available: Center, Scale, Stretch and Tile. Default is Center. When in Center mode, small photos are automatically put in the center of the image window while large photos are shrinked to fit the window without distortion. Both Scale and Stretch modes will stretch your photos to fit the window. However, the latter can deform your photos if their apsect ratios differ from that of the image window. Tile mode is the unique display mode only available in UniDream PhotoPlayer. It displays your photos as tiled wallpaper. A shortcut of M cycles these options.
·Effect is the transition seen in slide show presentation. There are 128 transition effects available (the first one is NO effect). You can either select not to use any or to use these effects sequentially, randomly or select a specific one for all your photos. With UniDream PhotoPlayer Plus or Pro, you can annotate your photos to specify a different effect for each photo. A shortcut of E cycles these options.
·Play interval allows you to dynamically adjust your photo play speed. With UniDream PhotoPlayer Plus or Pro, you can also predefine a different play interval for each photo. Shortcuts to increase and decrease play interval are UP and DOWN arrows.
·Automatic and manu play: by default, PP plays your photos automatically as soon as you browse into a folder. You can also step back and forth by pressing LEFT and RIGHT arrows or your mouse wheel when your mouse cursor is in the image window.
